When Humanities Graduates Graffiti

Here’s something I’ve been wanting to post for the longest time: It’s a picture I snapped on a bleak Spring day earlier this year, coming out of the Humanities Faculty in Copenhagen after a lecture. The picture shows an abandoned house next to the Faculty and, more importantly, it shows a graffiti text that reads (in Danish) “FOUCAULT IS GAY”

Humanities Faculty Grafitti

It just cracked me up. The statement works, of course, on several levels. And where else in the world, other than outside of a humanities faculty building, would you find this kind of graffiti?
